Since its founding in 1986, The California Public Policy Foundation, a non-profit, non-partisan, 501 (c)(3), educational organization, has provided California a responsible, articulate, effective voice for conservative ideas, policies, and principles: for limited government, individual responsibility, and self-reliance; for encouraging excellence, hard work, and personal virtue. CPPF is building communications networks to unify and make more effective California's conservative movement through its publications, Special Projects, and The California Public Policy Foundation's Statesmens Club.

California Political Review

California Political Review, CPPF's flagship publication, is read six times a year by California's most influential leaders in politics, business, and political journalism. Still
our state's only conservative magazine devoted to covering state government, CPR reports the stories the major media ignore or distort. CPR’s in-depth coverage is complimented by the magazine’s companion publication, Capitol Watch — a spunky, quick-reading weekly bulletin, timely, informative, and always to-the-point. As one busy executive put it: "I pick up Capitol Watch with my morning coffee and by the time I reach my desk I've read it." Capitol Watch is e-mailed exclusively to CPR print edition subscribers.

CPR Online

Reaching thousands of Californians on a daily basis, CPR Online offers original news and commentary, web-available versions of selected articles from California Political Review’s current print edition, and a soon-to-be-added full archive of CPR print edition back issues (in PDF format). CPR Online helps keep the major media honest, balancing its too-often one-sided coverage with straightforward, thorough reporting of California’s state and local political scene.

Business Pulse

A weekly e-mail briefing on California business and politics in a quick-reading, Capital Watch-style format, Business Pulse examines the left’s ongoing war against productive Californians’ efforts to bring jobs and prosperity to our state. It covers the business community’s role in the state’s democratic political process and explains the pro-jobs, pro-business policies that, if implemented, would increase economic opportunity for all Californians. Business Pulse is a publication of CPPF’s Prosperity Project.

Special Projects

CPPF's California Prosperity Project, examining state government’s impact on business and business’s effectiveness in state politics, and “Like Clockwork,” an ongoing look at the revitalization of local political activity in California, build communication networks and foster more effective cooperative activity within the Golden State's diverse, energetic political community.

The Statesmens Club

CPPF's grassroots funding organization, the Statesmen provide indispensable support to sustain California Political Review, Capitol Watch, CPR Online, and Business Pulse. Regional Statesmen Club meetings with key elected officials and political leaders establish and maintain vital communications linking Sacramento political leaders with conservative activists up and down the state.

The President’s Club

The President’s Club is The California Pubilc Policy Foundation’s primary support organization, providing the resources underpining all the organization’s activities, especially CPPF’s Special Projects.
